Leaving Do

An uproariously good time was had by all at the leaving party for me and Stu last night. So much the better because the loverly Kate from Osaka came to join in the festivities. Outrageous amounts of food and beverage were consumed by all, much to the chagrin of our poor defenceless Japanese hosts at the all you can eat and drink restaurant we descended upon. But really, if you're going to advertise such a venture, be wary of the gaijin hordes. After Nakanaka we went to Tattoo, a great bar, and ordered far too many rounds of tequila, giant bottles of beer and the like.

A ridiculous amount of photos were taken. Some quite obscene (cheers Stu an d Phil for that one). They require little explanation beyond the obvious: We were all really pissed.

Then today we caught up with a fellow reveller for bagels on the beach and a little bit of footy. Lovely time, made all the better by the knowledge that dad received some amazing news: He's going to receive the Order of Australia! We're all proud as punch of coarse. Trying to convince Stu that we aren't really the part of the overprivileged elite is becoming quite a challenge in the face of such developments.
