Update

Hey everyone, hope this finds you all well. I know its been a while between updates, but here's the latest. I'm in Melbourne, been here for just a couple of days now. Am currently at new place waiting for removalists. It's been a crazy couple of days. I'm now living with Lizzie and Dan in a place that has way too much stuff. Serious culling will be done if I have anything to say about it. The area's pretty good, easy tram ride into the markets and the city, local shops, etc etc. Lots of parks nearby, which is nice. My room is (going to be) really nice, not oo big, not oo small, well, we'll see about that when all the furniture arrives!

Big (relieving) news is that I got a job. I'm going to be doing secretarial work for a small accounting firm, such a weight off to be facing steady, full time employment. The people seem very nice, it's going to be interesting to see how they handle the news that I want to be away for 3 weeks over Christmas, fingers crossed my probationary period doesn't impede my taking of leave... I think I'll wait until a little later into employment before I open that can of worms. For noe, I start on Monday doing the 9-5 gig. Ahh, regular hours with weekends off, what more could a girl want? New shoes! (Tick)

It's a bit of a schlep to work, buses, trains, the occassional tram, about 2 hours round trip, but hey, I'm used to that now, and it gives me time to read.

Caught up with Mim, Bec and Pepa last night for dinner, which was lovely, they're all busy and happy and getting on with things. Had dinner with my sisters and Fred and Dan the night before, always a pleasure. so the balance is being established and I hope things can plod along for a few months at least. Will write more soon, I promise.
